Welcome to my ceramic art gallery.  My name is Cynthia Guajardo and I am primarily a ceramic artist, although I have also been experimenting with mixed media since the summer of 2006.  I enjoy making both functional wheel thrown pottery, slab ware and hand built ceramic sculpture.  My favorite clay body is porcelain and I fire to cone 6 (2230 degrees F) in oxidation (electric kiln). 

I began my exploration of clay under the tutelage of Ray Chen at the University of Southern Maine in 2002, and continued my ceramic studies with Mary Cay, an instructor at the Art Student's League of Denver where I have been a member since 2004.
